What is a Halo Laser treatment?

The Sciton Halo is a hybrid fractional laser that combines two lasers into one to rejuvenate and revitalize your skin. This treatment yields results similar to traditional fractional and ablative lasers in half the time and without the downtime that usually accompanies laser skin resurfacing treatments.

Conditions that can be treated by Halo include:

  • Sun damage
  • Visible effects of age
  • Enlarged pores
  • Fine lines
  • Scarring
  • Uneven skin tone and texture

How many treatments will I need?

We typically recommend a series of one to three treatment sessions in order to achieve optimal results. The number of treatments needed can vary from patient to patient depending on skin type, the condition being treated, and the patient’s desired results.

When will I see results?

Results of our Halo laser treatments will start to develop within four to five days of a treatment session and will continue to improve for several months after a treatment session. The most visible results typically develop within two to three weeks of a treatment session. Multiple treatment sessions may be required in order to achieve your goals of treatment. Results may vary.

Am I a candidate?

Men and women who are interested in reducing the visible signs of age, improving the appearance of acne scarring, correcting sun damage, and improving the overall quality of their skin may be potential candidates for this skin resurfacing treatment. During your consultation, we will review your skin type, skin concerns, and goals of treatment and determine if Halo laser treatments are the right choice for you. If you are a candidate, we will work with you to develop a customized treatment plan that best suits your needs and helps you achieve your aesthetic goals.

How does the Halo laser work?

Halo is the world’s first hybrid fractional laser, meaning it combines two lasers in one. This cutting-edge technology delivers both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths to the same treatment area. That means you can enjoy a healthy glow with minimal downtime.

Treatment with the Halo laser improves your skin in the following ways:

  • Reduces pore size
  • Evens out skin tone
  • Restores a healthy glow
  • Reduces fine lines
  • Removes sunspots and other skin discolorations

In addition to treating visible signs of aging, Halo penetrates the layers of your skin to improve problems you can’t even see.

What happens during a Halo laser treatment?

First, the knowledgeable team at Tryst Med Aesthetics & Laser Center evaluates your skin and discusses your concerns during an initial consultation.

Then, they develop a customized treatment plan that may include one or two more intense Halo treatments, or multiple less intense ones to achieve similar results over a longer stretch of time.

The Halo laser typically doesn’t cause pain, but your aesthetics expert may apply a topical numbing cream to increase your comfort during the procedure.

Then, they measure the treatment area with motion-tracking technology to ensure even laser application. Your skin care expert rolls the specialized Halo handpiece over your skin until the system recognizes the treatment is finished.

Halo treatments require minimal downtime, but you must keep your skin protected for the first 24 hours. The team at Tryst Med Aesthetics & Laser Center provides you with detailed instructions on how to do this.

After 24 hours, you’re free to resume regular activities, but it’s important to continue protecting your skin from the sun at all times.

What results should I expect from treatment with the Halo laser?

Two to three days after your treatment, you notice a light bronzing effect. After that, the top layer of your skin peels away and reveals fresh, evenly toned, and healthy skin.

The radiant effects of your Halo treatment last for several years, but additional treatments will only provide greater results.
